Saigon Hash next run lock down 2

Hello ,

Our next Run #1548: The Covid-19 Escape Run (still pending)

As the bus is still unavailable and the city has perfected it's social distancing and moved on to the more extreme art of social lock-down there will not be a Hash run this week. We will continue to monitor the situation, consult with the bus crew and inform you on a weekly basis. When the situation improves run 1548 will be reinstated, lets hope we don't have to wait too long.

General information for when we run again. Make sure you are at  the Caravelle on time, well before 2 pm (14h00). There will usually be a D2 pickup from two bus stops along the south side of the Hanoi Highway, one opposite the Thao Dien Rd. and the other in front of Estela. Bus arrives there at about 2.15 pm.

News from your GM

Nothing much to report here, it has all been very quiet with the social distancing in full force and everyone's faces hidden behind their masks. We are all hunkering down in our safe spaces and waiting for the storm to pass. It looks like all our efforts are paying off with the numbers of cases of Covid-19 remaining relatively low in Vietnam and the number of recoveries rising everyday. Schools are now expected to reopen on the 20th April. Maybe after our 2 weeks of country wide lock-down we will reemerge into a new world and the Hash will run again.

In the meantime our Hare Raiser has been busy recceing for us. Unfortunately he is stuck in Dak Lak so the trails he is finding are rather a long way out. It seems like an away hash may be in order. That would certainly give us something to look forward to.

Other Hashes in Saigon

The Saigon Monday Hash House Harriers run on a Monday. They are reviewing their runs on a weekly basis due to  Covid -19 so please get into the habit of checking out their Facebook page if you want to run with them (details here).
